The Porrón Canalla
On Calle Ballesta we can find a place to eat some of the best sandwiches in Madrid . It is a tavern where you can once again enjoy the taste of a lifetime, of those sandwiches that we had as children and whose taste we have almost forgotten over the years.
Although the more than 500 sandwiches served there every day are delicious, its owners especially recommend the tortilla with peppers, a classic that never goes out of style and is always appreciated. If you want to remember the traditional flavors, it is an option that you cannot miss.
Other great options that you can enjoy in this place are sardines with chives, belly with red peppers or if you want something different you can opt for pickled mussels with fried potatoes. For a snack, the chocolate bread is also really delicious. There are signature sandwiches, signed by great chefs that are only available for a limited time. And to drink, you can opt for beer, sangria or wine jugs.
Cleas
The one in Cleas, in the Las Salesas neighborhood , is a completely different option. This place is based on the theory that eating sandwiches and taking care of our diet is perfectly compatible, which is why it offers us a diet based on salads, pizzas and sandwiches, always with a healthy touch.
When choosing your sandwich, you can choose between five different types of bread, including gluten-free bread for celiacs. Then we can choose the filling and the toppings that we want, to enjoy delicious and healthy sandwiches. A modern touch without sacrificing quality.
The House taken
It is a place full of magical realism. José Antonio del Pozo has brought a whole gastronomic project from Venezuela inspired by a short story by Cortázar. In a very warm and welcoming environment, more than just sandwiches, it is all a gastronomic menu embedded in bread . Its menu, with 17 sandwiches, is so tempting that it is difficult to choose. There are chicken, beef and roast beef sandwiches that will make your mouth water.
